In the middle of 1993 Slipmatt embarked on my mission to bring back the uplifting sounds of Hardcore back in to Rave music. He proceeded to cut his first ever 10” dubplate at JTS Studios in East London which ended up as the first SMD – “Slip Matt’s Dub”. This was a major part of the birth of a new style of Rave Music which became known as Breakbeat Happy Hardcore.
25 years later Slipmatt thought it only right to make the whole collection available once again on lovely brand new, warm shiny vinyl. The originals sell for well over £60 in mint condition, and now you can have the whole collection, including the previously unreleased SMD#6 track, for half of that price. We sincerely hope you enjoy this one and only 2018 pressing from one of the most important labels in 90’s Rave music history.
